A Poem of Dedication

Dark hazel eyes unsure of what is to come
In uncertain and sanguine expectancy
Viewing the current situation as cumbersome
Yet find that in her heart she has a vacancy
Black hair a touch frazzled and frayed
Straightforward with authentic virtues
She realizes she cannot let this fade
So with a slightly indecisive purview
With eagerness and insomniac nights
She longingly yearns for the response
Perhaps he might readjust his sights
That the affair might be ensconced
That failure might be an alternative
All too unreasonable for both parties
Imminent success is a virtual imperative
With the necessity to proceed smartly
Moving in precipitance being risky
A deceleration could be warranted
Why travel the billows so quickly
And journey to the abhorrent abyss
Whereby the blunders of the past
Come back to haunt like apparitions?
The consequences of advancing too fast
Could cause unsafe conditions
Perhaps her demeanor is newfangled
As are the ideas in his brain
Perhaps this woven-web will be less tangled

And she and he are actually sane
